Floor Support Technician (Weld Repair ) - Day Shift

About the role
Assists team members with schedule/tooling changes, assists maintenance, watches the line for bottlenecks, assists in training, works with quality auditors, and performs other duties as needed within the HVACR AMER.US.Lebanon Assembly department.
Responsibilities
- Assist team members with schedule/tooling changes, anticipating problems.
- Assist maintenance when a machine in the assigned area is down.
- Watch the line for bottlenecks or possible machine problems, correcting as needed.
- Assist in the training of new or newly assigned team members.
- Work with maintenance, engineering, and managers on continuous process improvements.
- Evaluate daily rejects and scrap, looking for ways to reduce them.
- Help run the line through breaks and lunch periods.
- Work with quality auditors during line audits, fixing identified problems as soon as possible.
- Help with whatever is necessary to keep the line running, with safety as a primary concern.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience as an Assembler or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- Ability to use hand and other tools to keep machines operating.
- Ability to read work instructions and other equipment guides to execute duties.
- Excellent mechanical skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree (A.A.) in a technical program, such as Mechanics or Mechatronics.
- Forklift driver’s certification.
Skills
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as sums, dividends, percentages, ranges, and averages.
- Ability to apply concepts of technical math.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods while performing job functions.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, reach overhead with hands and arms, grasp, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.
- Must meet job standards for visual ability, speaking, and hearing in a manufacturing environment.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Environmental conditions include flashing lights on machines, powered industrial vehicles, and random noises such as horns and alarms.
