Floating Retail Service Representative I

About the role

The Fountain Trust Company, a community bank with 16 locations across west-central Indiana, is seeking a dedicated Floating Retail Service Representative to join our team. This dynamic position will require traveling between our branches in Tippecanoe and White Counties. As a key member of our customer service team, you will play an essential role in creating positive experiences for our customers while supporting the operational efficiency of the bank.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming environment.
• Accurately process debit and credit transactions, ensuring all details are correct.
• Open new accounts and assist customers in selecting the best services to meet their needs.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries or issues with professionalism and courtesy.
• Maintain and balance cash drawers and vaults to ensure accuracy and security.
• Actively promote and cross-sell bank products and services that align with customer needs.
• Follow all bank policies, procedures, and compliance regulations to ensure the safety and integrity of bank operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the branch manager, supporting various banking functions as needed.

• Ability to make thoughtful decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Meticulous in handling financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills for building relationships with customers and team members.
• Ability to efficiently handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Basic computer skills for processing transactions and managing customer information.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. when necessary.
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Associate’s degree or equivalent education.
• Prior experience in customer service, retail, or cash handling is highly valued.
