Floating Health Room Paraprofessional
About the Position
School District 49 is actively seeking a Floating Health Room Paraprofessional. The position is full-time and reports to the Coordinator of School Health Services. The hourly rate of pay is $20.45 to $25.78 per hour, depending upon previous relevant experience. Interviews are site-based and not conducted by the Human Resources office.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for students and staff
- Provide support in the health room during school hours
- Assist with health screenings and first aid
- Support the coordination of health services
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR certification
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of basic first aid and health care procedures

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly

Pay
The starting pay is $20.45 per hour to $25.78 per hour, depending upon previous relevant experience. The actual starting pay rate will be determined after a review of the work experience provided on the job application.
Schedule
The schedule is for the School Year, with 172 days.
