Floating Health Room Paraprofessional

About the Position

School District 49 is actively seeking a Floating Health Room Paraprofessional. The position is full-time and reports to the Coordinator of School Health Services. The hourly rate of pay is $20.45 to $25.78 per hour, depending upon previous relevant experience. Interviews are site-based and not conducted by the Human Resources office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for students and staff
• Provide support in the health room during school hours
• Assist with health screenings and first aid
• Support the coordination of health services

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR certification
• Experience working in a school setting preferred

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of basic first aid and health care procedures

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly
• Attention to detail

Pay

The starting pay is $20.45 per hour to $25.78 per hour, depending upon previous relevant experience. The actual starting pay rate will be determined after a review of the work experience provided on the job application.

Schedule

The schedule is for the School Year, with 172 days.
