About the role
The Floater Assistant Teacher supports early childhood education programs to enhance outcomes for children and families.
Responsibilities
- Works collaboratively with the Teacher to ensure classroom operations
- Implements curriculum to achieve positive outcomes for children of all abilities
- Plans and implements learning experiences to improve children's readiness for school
- Addresses challenging behaviors through observation and partnership with families
- Encourages family involvement and supports children's development at home
- Maintains a safe and healthy learning environment
- Supports the social and emotional development of children
- Communicates with internal and external stakeholders
- Participates in meetings, events, and training
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CDA or enrolled to complete within 2 years, or a degree in any field or enrollment in a related program
- Prior experience with children 0-5 years
