Floater Assistant Teacher

About the role

As a Floater Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will contribute to the success of Head Start classrooms, fostering positive social interactions, active engagement, and self-motivation among children.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a child-centered curriculum and learning environment that promotes development in all domains for children of all abilities.
• Address challenging behaviors through observation, prevention, teaching new social and communication skills, and collaboration with families.
• Document children's progress using observations and anecdotal notes to individualize curriculum.

Requirements

• Great communication and written skills.
• A passion to work with children.
• CDA credentials, or willingness to enroll in a credential program within two years, or an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in any field, or enrollment in a related program.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
