Float Pool Registered Nurse

About the role

This role offers an opportunity to work as a Resource Float Medical Surgical/Acute Care Nurse in a leading, comprehensive healthcare facility with advanced services, including stroke, neuroscience, trauma, and emergency heart care.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care, including assessments, developing care plans, medication administration, and documentation.
• Deliver patient education and maintain equipment.
• Communicate patient needs effectively to the healthcare team.
• Perform patient rounding to enhance satisfaction and quality of care.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human development and provide age-appropriate care.
• Promote customer service and utilize nursing processes to meet patient needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of medical/surgical experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current licensure by the appropriate nursing board.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to pursue Med-Surg certification within one year.
