Float Pool Registered Nurse
About the Role
This position will float between Acute Care and the Emergency Department (ED) at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital only. The Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department-specific requirements and the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage," the RN collaborates with medical providers and the care team to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care. The RN serves as a patient and family advocate, modeling the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in both Acute Care and ED settings.
- Coordinate care in collaboration with medical providers and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Apply nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage" to guide practice.
- Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers to ensure compassionate and individualized care.
- Support the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Qualifications
- Required Experience: One year of RN experience.
- Preferred Experience: ER or strong hospital nursing experience.
- Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Preferred Education: Master’s in Nursing.
- Required License: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply; confirm with NCBON.
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI.
