Float Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – Rogers City

About the role

Thunder Bay Community Health Service, Inc. (TBCHS) is seeking a compassionate, adaptable Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team as a Float Primary Care Provider. In this role you will provide comprehensive, patient‑centered care to patients of all ages while supporting clinic teams across multiple locations, covering colleagues’ absences, stepping in during busy periods, and delivering care where the need is greatest.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages.
• Float between clinic locations to support providers and care teams as needed.
• Assess, diagnose, treat, and help patients manage their overall health and wellness.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Evaluate and treat urgent and emergent medical conditions when necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
• Help support and supervise advanced practice provider students.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current, valid Michigan NP or PA‑C license and DEA registration.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• Team‑oriented, flexible provider comfortable working across different clinic locations.
• Experienced providers and recent graduates with pending certification are encouraged to apply.
