Float Medical Assistant
About the role
The Float Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. Performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments.
Responsibilities
- Perform computations and other tasks, reporting to the Center Administrator.
- Perform clinical duties such as discussing symptoms, gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system, taking vital signs, giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site.
Requirements
- Required: Active Medical Assistant Certification or Registration from one of the specified organizations.
- Required: 3 plus years of Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy experience in 'back-office' direct patient care.
- Required: Applicable State licensure in field of study (RMA/ CMA).
- Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Qualifications
- Required: 4+ years of MA experience in PCO center.
- Preferred: Value-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
Skills
- CPR Certified.
Benefits
This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
Pay
$44,900 - $60,200 per year.
Schedule
Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00
Location
Must be flexible to travel within 12 clinics in the Jacksonville, FL area
