Float Medical Assistant

About the role

Join our dedicated outpatient team at the Louisville and Southern Indiana clinic, where patient-centered care is our top priority.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain patient histories, discuss symptoms, and record vital signs
  • Administer medications and vaccines following protocols
  • Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens
  • Prepare and maintain clean, sterile examination and equipment
  • Document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Requirements

  • Use your skills to make an impact
  • Successful completion of MA school/training program and a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with 3+ years of experience and approval from Provider
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certified
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
  • Preferred: Phlebotomy experience, Medication/vaccine administration experience, 1+ years of MA experience, Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
