Flight Mechanic II

Yulista Contract Services LLC is providing full on-site/off-site maintenance flight and Functional Check Flight operations to support the US Army Flight Test Directorate (AFTD) at Redstone Arsenal, AL. Support will be conducted in accordance with current Army directives, including AR 95-1 and AR 95-20.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties and responsibilities as a flight engineer.
• Perform in-flight duties and assist the pilots, consistent with established Service or FAA standards.
• Provide aviation maintenance and repair services, as well as developmental and operational test and evaluation support, including testing of aircraft, aviation systems, and associated support equipment.
• Organizational/intermediate level maintenance experience.
• Meet all requirements as a non-rated crewmember in accordance with service guidance for specific design, type, and series aircraft.
• Qualify and maintain currency in aircraft auxiliary power units (APUs).
• Assist in student training and training others to perform flight engineer duties.
• Maintain night vision goggles (NVG) currency.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• FAA A&P license or completion of a military aircraft repairer school in the H-47 Series aircraft platform, with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance or 4 years verifiable RDT&E experience in rotary wing aircraft Army Aviation maintenance.
• Must pass a contractor or military evaluation initially and annually thereafter.
• Military installation DEPOT level maintenance experience.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Must hold a valid, current FAA or military Class III Medical Certificate, as prescribed by the Government.
• Must meet minimum flight hour requirements as Flight Engineer as specified in AR 95-20.

Skills

• Experience in all aspects of safety, documentation, HAZMAT, training/licenses/certifications, scheduling, production control, and management.
• Analytical ability combined with knowledge and application of assurance principles and techniques.

Preference will be given to Calista shareholders and their descendants, spouses of Calista shareholders, and shareholders of other corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, in accordance with Title 43 U.S. Code 1626(g).
