FlexSteel - Sales Operations Analyst
About the role
The Sales Operations Analyst position at FlexSteel is located in Houston or Baytown, TX. This role is part of the Sales Operations organization, driving sales enablement functions including sales strategy, data analytics, sales operations, systems/CRM, compensation, training, and more.
Responsibilities
- Drive planning and execution of the Company’s sales strategy by working closely with sales leadership team
- Oversee target account strategy, define sales objectives and KPIs, and work with the sales team to ensure milestones are achieved and set corrective action items if needed
- Effectively use internal operational data and external market and competitor data to evaluate historical performance and guide the sales team to reach their objectives
- Provide strategic and analytical support to the sales organization and senior management
- Review pipe and material inventory to make decisions and prioritize accounts/end users for materials
- Hold calls with regions to manage/prioritize opportunities in the Sales Funnel
- Manage the development, implementation, and tracking of the sales organization’s KPIs
- Lead annual sales budget and monthly forecast
- Manage manufacturing builds/reductions based on market demand
- Build executive reports and dashboards in Excel that summarize data and results
- Create presentation decks in PowerPoint and provide insights to the executive team
- Lead a variety of ad hoc projects involving multiple departments
- Drive process improvement and controls
- Provide analytical support to people outside the sales organization as needed
- Cook up bid packages and proposals as needed
- Assist in the training and development of new analysts if required
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Business Administration or Finance with minimum of three to five years of analytical experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Strong Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentation skills
- Industry experience preferred
- SalesForce.com experience preferred
- Business Acumen: Knowledge of business terms to analyze and apply business principles to address business needs
- Financial analysis, strategic alignment, elements of a business case, business intelligence techniques and tools
- Solid business acumen
- Outstanding analytical skills
- Must be able to deal with ambiguity
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels
- Willingness and desire to be coached
- Able to work with a sense of urgency
- Able to work with and maintain confidential information
- Able to manage multiple simultaneous projects while meeting tight deadlines
Qualifications
