Flex Security Officer Full time & Part Time

About the role

Securitas Security Services is hiring Flex Security Officers for full-time and part-time positions, with weekend assignments available. Positions are located in Colorado Springs, Falcon, Fountain, and Manitou, CO. Some sites require access by personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Report alarms and monitor cameras according to client requirements.
• Greet vendors, customers, residents, client employees, and provide assistance as needed.
• Conduct internal and external patrols to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and other issues.
• Monitor entrances and exits, provide guidance to site visitors, and complete daily activity reports and logs.
• Ensure an atmosphere where all customers, client employees, site visitors, and management feel their needs are being met.
• Actively observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to relevant parties.
• Operate in a calm manner and direct disruptive individuals to leave the property.
• Protect evidence or scenes of incidents and provide direction or information to others.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties as required for assigned sites.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Great attention to detail and vigilance throughout the shift.
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
• Willingness to participate in the company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Appropriate identification documents.
• Reliable, accountable, punctual, and strong work ethic.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
• Positive interaction with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Intermediate computer/technology skills for daily activity reports and alarm reporting.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adhere to 15-minute and lunch breaks.
• Ability to work in a team environment to achieve organizational goals.
• Ability to remain organized and professional.
• Ability to learn and adhere to security operations.
• Personal vehicle, Colorado Driver’s License, and clean driving record.
• Able to obtain Colorado Springs Guard Card license and maintain it annually.
• Ability to attend in-person interview and orientation in Colorado Springs if hired.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience a plus.

Pay

$19.50 per hour.
