Flex Security Officer Full time & Part Time

About the role

Securitas Security Services is hiring Flex Security Officers for full-time and part-time positions, with weekend assignments available. Positions are located in Colorado Springs, Falcon, Fountain, and Manitou, CO. Some sites require access by personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Report alarms in accordance with client requirements and monitor cameras.
• Greet vendors, customers, residents, client employees, and aid as needed.
• Conduct internal and external patrols to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, unauthorized persons, inspect grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all customers, client employees, site visitors, and management.
• Respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment, using appropriate escalation procedures.
• Monitor entrance/exits and provide guidance to site visitors and vendors.
• Complete daily activity (DAR), incident reports, and logs via Securitas and client systems.
• Protect evidence or scenes of incidents in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; set up barriers and signage, and provide direction or information to others.
• Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to clients, company management, or public safety authorities as appropriate.
• Ensure all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards.
• Operate in a calm manner and direct persons who cause disruption to leave the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned sites.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Great attention to detail and vigilance throughout the shift.
• Willingness to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Appropriate I9 identification.
• Willingness to travel 25-30 miles to and from work.
• Ability to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Understanding of customer service and interactions with the public.
• Intermediate computer/technology skills to complete daily activity reports and logs via handheld devices, and report alarms via telephone.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills to assist vendors, public, client, site supervisors, and office management.
• Able to adhere to 15-minute and lunch breaks.
• Able to work in a team environment to achieve site/organizational goals daily.
• Able to remain organized and professional.
• Able to learn and adhere to security operations.
• Able to provide high-quality customer service in-person, via radio, and over the telephone.
• Able to obtain a Colorado Springs Guard Card license and maintain it annually.
• Able to attend in-person interview and orientation in Colorado Springs if hired.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience a plus.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications include:

• Colorado Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Personal vehicle required for mobile patrol.

Pay

$19.50 per hour.
