Fleet Technician

Our client, a leading organization in innovative vehicle testing and fleet operations, is seeking a Fleet Technician to join their Operations Department supporting fleet management and test site activities in Austin, TX.

About the role

Support daily fleet operations at test sites to ensure vehicle readiness and operational efficiency. Hiring for 3 shifts.

• Maintain vehicles through cleaning, charging, and system updates to meet regulatory standards.
• Assist with logistical tasks including organizing spare parts inventory and transporting equipment.
• Execute mission prep procedures such as software deployment, configuration verification, and data capture.
• Provide technical support during vehicle recovery scenarios and general testing activities.

Requirements

• 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience in vehicle operations or related fields.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and standing for extended periods.
• Experience using tablets, software, apps, and ticketing systems.
• Willingness to travel locally and nationally (less than 30%).
• Strong problem-solving skills, safety awareness, and the ability to multitask effectively.
