Responsibilities
- Manage day to day activities in a maintenance repair facility
- Take information for breakdowns and dispatch repairs locally and out of area to minimize downtime
- Maintain a clean work and shop area as directed by Safety SOP's
- Communicate with drivers & customers regarding DVIR's (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports)
- Manage all shop personnel and provide supervision and productivity of all personnel
- Monitor yard conditions
- Provide a safe working environment
- Monitor overall condition, cleanliness, readiness and reliability
- Ensure on-time P.M. and scheduling
- Oversee total tire management
- Ensure proper use and control of shop equipment
- Conduct daily management quality inspections
- Prioritize all jobs on the work planning sheet on a daily basis
Requirements
- Knowledge of the Transportation Industry required
- Valid driver's license (preferably commercial)
- Ability to be on call
- Physically able to stand for long periods of time
Skills
- Self‑motivated with leadership abilities (a plus)
- Ability to multitask
- Effective communication with all internal and external customers

$27 to $32 an hour depending on skills and experience
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
