Fleet Outside Sales Representative

About the role

This is a true hunter role. You'll be out in the market, building relationships, opening doors, and bringing in business.

Responsibilities

  • Possess and conduct outside sales visits to customer locations to present products, services, and fleet solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with fleet managers, business owners, and key decision-makers
  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and pricing agreements tailored to customer needs
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed revenue goals and performance targets
  • Coordinate with service, parts, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and account retention
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to identify growth opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, and pipeline management in CRM
  • Provide ongoing account support and follow-up to strengthen long-term client relationships
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and community networking opportunities to promote company services
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategic sales plans for territory growth and customer acquisition
  • Analyze fleet customer needs and recommend cost-effective solutions that improve efficiency and uptime

Requirements

  • Self-starter: you don't need a script or a babysitter to make calls and book meetings
  • Goal-oriented and competitive: you like seeing your name at the top of the board
  • Persistent: a "not right now" is just a "not yet" to you
  • Organized enough to keep a pipeline full and a CRM clean
  • Experience in fleet, commercial, automotive, or B2B sales is a strong plus

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
