Role: Heavy-duty diesel truck and equipment mechanic responsible for safe operation, repair, rebuild, and maintenance of company-owned or leased trucks and rolling stock, excluding garbage trucks. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair operational issues with diesel, CNG, gas, and electric vehicles.Maintain and repair various heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.Complete work orders, procure parts, and plan repairs using M5 planner.Ensure safety compliance and maintain a clean work environment.Utilize power and hand tools, and maintain necessary personal tools.Assist in training new employees and stay updated on technology.Perform administrative duties related to maintenance tasks. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED; technical diploma preferred.Minimum of one year diesel mechanic experience; diagnostic software experience a plus.Computer literacy and willingness to learn software systems.Effective communication skills, ability to follow instructions, and work independently.Physical ability to handle tools and lift up to 100 pounds.Experience with vacuum, hydrovac, or wet vac trucks is beneficial. Work Environment & Physical Demands Exposure to loud noise, harsh weather, mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles.Occasional work at heights in high precarious places.Requires standing, walking, climbing, and physical effort. Additional Information: Position is for second or third shift, with a focus on safety, maintenance excellence, and compliance with laws and policies. Candidates must possess valid work authorization and meet safety-sensitive criteria.
