Fleet Maintenance Manager (2nd Shift)

About the role

Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead a team of Technicians and Mechanics in an aggressive quality preventative maintenance repair program. The role involves managing multiple shop operations, ensuring a safe and efficient fleet, and providing administrative support.

Responsibilities

• Lead, educate and develop employees
• Maintain employee performance and accessibility across all areas of the shop
• Plan daily manpower to meet workload
• Support the operations team with all equipment-related issues
• Monitor and analyze opportunities to reduce costs and enhance efficiency
• Approve payroll, download scanners, maintain repair orders, and comply with documentation
• Address corrective actions for direct reports
• Ensure clean, safe working conditions and equipment
• Communicate with clients to meet operational and company needs
• Monitor and manage equipment sent to external repair services
• Conduct pre-shift meetings
• Comply with applicable laws and company policies

Requirements

• At least 2 years' industry experience in fleet maintenance or operations
• 5-8 years of direct management experience
• Prior technician/mechanic experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with EV/trailer/reefer repair and maintenance
• Able to travel to oversee multiple shop locations as needed
• Thorough knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, company policies, and procedures
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Word, Excel, Fleet Management systems, and large ERP/timekeeping systems

Pay

Competitive Salary Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Salary range $85,000-$100,000 depending on experience plus additional bonus incentives.
