Fleet/Dispatch Manager

About the Role

Buffalo Biodiesel is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to join our team and oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and performance of our commercial truck fleet.

Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. has been in business since 2005. We collect and recycle used cooking oil to produce biodiesel, a carbon-reducing alternative fuel to hydrocarbons. We operate in 15 states with service to over 27,000 locations and are growing. Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. complies with the Federal Drug-Free Workplace Act.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage heavy truck preventative maintenance and repairs
• Prioritize and follow up with mechanics in the fleet truck shop
• Maintain DOT, HUT, and IFTA books and records for fleet audits
• Supervise dispatching and manage 10–25 drivers and trucks daily
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and terminations within the fleet department
• Ensure compliance with company policies and federal regulations
• Support operational efficiency and driver performance
• Utilize tracking and dispatch software to monitor fleet activity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred
• 5 years of Fleet Management experience
• 5 years of Driver Management experience
• Experience repairing and troubleshooting commercial trucks
• Experience with hiring, onboarding, and terminations
• Strong working knowledge of tracking and dispatch software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with drivers and mechanics
• Clean motor vehicle report

Schedule

Monday - Friday (7am - 4pm) and Saturday (7am - 12pm)

$150,000 per year
