Fleet Care Worker
About the role
The Utility Worker/Service Employee is responsible for performing basic vehicle servicing duties. Responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of fleet vehicles, driving and maneuvering vehicles, fueling buses, logging and recording fluids, downloading drive cameras and probes, and performing light maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
- Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles
- Fuel buses, replenish fluids, and log and record all fluids
- Download drive cameras & probes, fare boxes
- Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities
- Report maintenance issues to supervisor
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
- Customer service-oriented and dedicated to safety
- Ability to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable

Physical Requirements
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day)
- Frequent walking for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise
Pay and Schedule
Starting pay $24.15 with progression to $25.36 over 2 years. Non-CDL starting pay is $20.50 per hour. Subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
Schedule
Shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
