About the role

This Fleet Analyst, Parts & Services role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the Elko, NV office. The position develops and maintains indicative lifecycle operating cost (LCC) models for new and existing Sandvik equipment in the USA. The analyst works closely with Aftermarket Contracts, Lifecycle Support Services, Service Contracts teams, and P&S Sales Representatives to maintain a comprehensive asset register and up-to-date lifecycle cost model for each serial-specific piece of equipment.

The LCC models underpin the development of Maintenance Strategy Plans for equipment and are periodically reviewed for currency, producing the following outputs:

  • Service schedules and component lives
  • Budget operating costs matched to Maintenance Strategy Plans
  • Serial number-specific parts consumption forecasts
  • Indicative Maintenance Labor Resource Requirements
  • Indicative Operating Costs (POC)

The role also provides input and recommendations to Account teams to support tender submissions and manages feedback from active contracts to drive continuous improvement and accuracy of lifecycle models.

The Parts & Service Fleet Analyst supports sales and planning for active and potential contracts, producing:

  • Operating cost and potential revenue summaries and predictions
  • Bundle and standalone deal input regarding parts costs and revenues
  • Other fleet and operating model information as required by end users

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Holding fleet champion responsibilities and MDG Access for all USA fleet for SMR Parts & Services (excluding Mechanical Cutting, Crushing & Screening equipment)
  • Developing custom local Power BI reports to support fleet, parts availability, and supply metrics (e.g., model coverage of parts dashboards, automation of data extracts)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of equipment tenders
  • Work closely with Aftermarket Contracts Management Teams and Product Specialists to develop comprehensive maintenance strategy plans for Sandvik Equipment
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of equipment lifecycle cost models
  • Review maintenance costs regularly to improve cost efficiency and develop sound equipment ownership strategies
  • Establish critical spares lists and component lifecycle plans with maintenance milestones and equipment age
  • Facilitate and participate in global initiatives/projects related to asset and component lifecycle management
  • Support USA region Asset Agreement Development as initiated by local or global teams
  • Prepare and present documentation
  • Develop and manage small projects
  • Actively engage in change management processes
  • Check fleet reporting integrity and collaborate with process owners to resolve discrepancies
  • Create custom sales dashboards to support key performance drivers on fleet data
  • Provide support and training to the USA P&S organization on Fleetapp, fleet analytics, and related processes (e.g., Auto POC tool, Component forecasting tool)

Requirements

  • Degree or relevant trade qualification, or a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Trade (mining-based), Project Management, or Asset Management
  • 5+ years of experience in estimation or project management
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance planning and management systems (CMMS)
  • Intermediate to advanced data analysis and reporting skills
  • High-level understanding of risk and risk management
  • Advanced MS Excel and Power BI skills
  • Superior interpersonal and leadership qualities
  • Knowledge of Sandvik or competitor products, including surface and underground drills, loaders, and haul trucks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MS Office Suite, SQL Database, or analytics programs such as Alteryx or Python
  • Experience with failure analysis methodologies
  • 5+ years of experience developing, maintaining, and improving lifecycle cost models, maintenance strategy plans, component forecasts, or parts consumption forecasts for mining equipment
  • Strong understanding of Sandvik or similar mining equipment, including surface/underground drills, loaders, haul trucks, and related parts/service requirements
  • Advanced data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development capability (Power BI, Excel, fleet analytics)
  • Experience supporting tender submissions, asset agreement development, sales cases, cost estimates, revenue summaries, and customer-facing planning information
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Aftermarket Contracts, Lifecycle Support Services, Service Contracts, Sales Area teams, Product Specialists, Technical Support, Parts Support, and Operational Readiness stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to validate fleet reporting integrity, identify discrepancies, and support continuous improvement of fleet data quality and lifecycle model accuracy
  • Experience facilitating or participating in regional/global initiatives, change management, small projects, and process improvement efforts related to asset, component, or lifecycle management
  • Strong communication, presentation, training, and stakeholder support skills, with the ability to translate technical fleet and cost information into clear business insights

Pay

$120,000 to $130,000
