Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with commercial vehicle maintenance and repair
- Basic knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with maintenance and repair work on commercial trucks and equipment
- Perform inspections, basic diagnostics, and preventative maintenance
- Support senior mechanics with repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
- Order parts and supplies for fleet maintenance and repairs
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers on availability, pricing, and delivery
- Track parts usage and help maintain inventory levels
- Cookparts needs with shop staff to minimize vehicle downtime
- Shuttle trucks to and from repair shops, vendors, and company locations
- Assist with vehicle movements within the yard or between facilities
- Support fleet logistics during peak maintenance or repair periods
- Aid in recordkeeping related to maintenance and repairs
- Communicate clearly with management regarding vehicle status and repair needs
- Pitch in where needed to support overall fleet operations
