Flatbed Driver (EAP)

About the role

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a qualified and experienced Class A Driver to join our Transportation team in Fontana, CA. The role is full‑time, non‑exempt, reporting to the Operations Supervisor within the Transportation – Scrap – Flatbed Operations department.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Flatbed Trailers to transport materials to designated locations.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe transportation.
• Inspect and maintain the condition of the Flatbed Trailers, reporting any issues promptly.
• Load and unload materials in a secure and efficient manner, following proper procedures.
• Complete required paperwork, such as logbooks and delivery receipts, accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, and clients to ensure smooth transportation operations.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the Flatbed Trailers to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Follow established routes and schedules, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes.
• Adhere to environmental regulations and company guidelines for the proper disposal of materials.

Requirements

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a Class A Driver.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated reliability and a commitment to meeting delivery deadlines.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and logbook requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical demands include regular sitting, use of hands to operate the vehicle, reaching, talking or hearing; frequent lifting/moving of up to 50 pounds; required vision abilities (close, distance, depth perception, focus adjustment); work may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Pay

Competitive salary range of $57,200.00 to $78,000.00 per year, based on experience, performance, routes, load quantity, and applicable bonuses. Additionally, a $2,000.00 bonus is offered for this position.

Schedule

Approximate hours: 03:00‑15:00 Monday‑Friday and 06:00‑15:00 Saturday.
