Responsibilities

  • Conducts random on-site verification visits to the home and employment of home confinement residents on varied days and times.
  • Contacts employers by phone and in person to conduct initial on-site employment verification visits.
  • Conducts employment verification phone calls for in-house residents.
  • Conducts initial pass sponsor verification phone calls for in-house residents.
  • Ensures all visits are conducted at a time when the resident will be available.
  • Reports to the facility to record weekly visits in the home confinement system.
  • Performs Urine Analysis testing on residents during on-site home visits (limited basis).
  • Conducts searches of a resident’s vehicle during on-site home visits (limited basis).
  • In conjunction with the Job Developer, conducts initial employment visits and monthly employment verification calls for in-house residents.
  • In conjunction with Case Managers, conducts initial visits to Pass Sponsor Homes for in-house residents.
  • Physically patrols the facility to observe residents, monitor security, and ensure facility integrity (e.g., checking doors, windows, fences, detecting unusual odors or conversations).
  • Supervises meals, visitor hours, and work details to observe for unusual or suspicious activities.
  • Organizes voluntary resident work crews to maintain facility cleanliness and meet company and government standards.
  • Supervises set-up and cleaning of eating and food service areas, ensuring proper portion control.
  • Uses judgment to identify and address inappropriate or abnormal conditions or behavior, escalating when necessary.
  • Conducts scheduled and impromptu cleanliness checks of the facility and residents' personal belongings.
  • Interfaces with authorized correctional or contracting agency personnel to coordinate resident activities.
  • Inventories and secures resident property upon arrival and in the event of an escape.
  • Verifies visitor identity and assists with resident affairs (e.g., arrival, release) in a professional manner.
  • Documents disciplinary actions for rule violations according to procedure.
  • Performs scheduled and random security activities, including urinalyses, pat-downs, shakedowns, counts, breath tests, and community verifications.
  • Maintains accurate and legible records of observations in the Daily Log for continuity across shifts.
  • Secures prescription medicine and completes the Medication Log to prevent misuse.
  • Communicates resident concerns to supervisors to maintain health, safety, and security.
  • Interacts professionally with residents and staff to promote positive relations.
  • Participates in staff meetings to share observations and recommendations.
  • Completes in-service training for continued professional development.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information on a "need to know" basis.
  • Complies with company policies, work rules, and directives from supervisors.
  • Adheres to attendance policy, including availability for all shifts and overtime as required.
  • Follows safety rules and takes corrective action to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Communicates effectively with all staff levels to promote teamwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age at time of employment.
  • Complete a full criminal background investigation, including fingerprints and NCIC/NLET check.
  • One (1) year of experience in a related field.
  • Personal vehicle available for company business.
  • Valid state driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the state.
  • Must meet company standards for automobile insurance.
  • Good moral character.
  • Ability to work with computers and facility-specific software.
