Responsibilities

  • Performs fundamental financial and credit analysis using publicly available information, integrating conclusions with outside opinions and rating agency data.
  • Recommends suitability of securities for individual portfolios and commingled funds.
  • Maintains updated information systems that provide traders and portfolio managers timely information regarding debt issuers approved for investment purposes.
  • Performs special analysis projects, such as valuation of nonmarketable debt securities, exchange offerings, and credit risk evaluation of derivative financial products.
  • Participates with portfolio managers on assigned committees to develop investment strategy relating to cash and fixed income securities.
  • Builds communication links with outside rating agencies and other fixed income analysts.
  • Participates in portfolio screening of managed accounts as the basis of the Unrated Security and Below Investment Grade Reviews stipulated by fiduciary laws and regulations.

Requirements

Minimum of five years fixed-income securities or credit related financial analysis experience. Knowledge of business and financial markets, financial and credit analysis, and accounting principles and techniques, knowledge of economic conditions and their impact on the capability of debt issuers to service debt obligations, and legal matters related to structuring debt instruments, and analytical and presentation skills are required.

Qualifications

Skills

Computer skills are required to gather and present information. Analytical and presentation skills are required to interpret offering statements and legal documents describing securities issues and to prepare and present analytical reports.

Pay

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. The salary range for this position is $116,100 - 197,300 USD.

Schedule

Working hours are standard full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
