Fiscal Operation Analyst
About the Role
Under the general direction of the Administrative Services Manager (ASM), the incumbent assists the ASM in managing the fiscal and personnel operations within the College of Business (COB). The incumbent ensures University and system-wide policies and procedures are followed for all COB’s funds: General Fund (GF), Course Fee (CF), Instructionally Related Activities (IRA), Lottery, College of Professional International Education Revenue (CERF), Reimbursed Activities, other Trust funds, and campus auxiliary funds such as Research Foundation, Long Beach State Foundation, Beach Shops, and Associated Students Inc.
Responsibilities
- Monitor budgets and expenditures for all funds.
- Maintain the integrity of financial records.
- Assist ASM in budget planning and financial assessments.
- Examine procurement and payment request documents to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
- Compile faculty assignment and prepare faculty workload reports in preparation for lecturer contracts; update and maintain lecture entitlement records.
- Assist ASM in student recruitment process and staff timekeeping.
- Coordinate Beta Gamma Sigma membership process.
Schedule
1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week. This is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
Pay
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources. Hiring range: $5,274 (Step #1) - $5,709 (Step #5) per month. CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,274 (Step #1) - $7,684 (Step #20) per month.

Requirements
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience required.

Work Environment
Sedentary work - involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects (10 pounds or less).
