Responsibilities
- Aids the Managing Director of New Business and Special Projects in designing, implementing, and monitoring program budgets.
- Collaborates with CRW Directors, Department Heads, the Senior Budget Analyst, and Finance staff at the Educational Alliance to coordinate program expenses, revenue billings, and budget allocations.
- Maintains positive working relationships with funders, regulators, coalition partners, Medicaid providers, and government agencies to support fiscal and program operations.
- Tracks and coordinates all revenue streams with the Sr. Budget Analyst at EA Finance and administrative staff at CRW.
- Oversees tracking of all billings and receivables prepared by other CRW staff, including determining if further action on any item is required.
- Assists with monthly financial statements, variance reports (budget vs. actual), and forecasting, ensuring alignment with CRW’s strategic goals.
- Analyzes and explains variances to identify drivers of expenses and collaborates with program directors to make necessary adjustments.
- Coordinates, develops, prepares, and submits annual operations plan and budget, serving as liaison with the Sr. Budget Analyst of the Finance Department at Educational Alliance and the ED and management team at CRW.
- Reconciles and performs grant closeout functions required by contracts administration and sponsors.
- Collaborates with Finance staff in the entry of the approved budgets into Intacct as well as ensures proper allocation and phasing of grant related costs.
- Ensures all compliance and requirements regarding all funding sources are met throughout the funding cycle.
- Assists with tracking all capital projects and ensures timely receipt of processing invoices.
- Reviews payroll allocations on a consistent and timely basis under the guidance of the Managing Director of New Business and Special Projects.
- Prepares ad-hoc reports for the Sr. Budget Analyst and ED and management team at CRW.
- Aids in the annual external audit and preparation of the CFR by reviewing and reconciling grant activity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required.
- 3 or more years of relevant experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing and overseeing government grants, including budgets, purchasing, contract compliance, and data collection and management required.
- Experience managing NYS OASAS or OMH contract programs, and various platforms and software to provide efficacy in management of these programs.
- Proven leadership with the ability to set team goals and prioritize daily operations and projects.
- High proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and Intacct a plus.
- Non-profit experience preferred, with prior work in health care setting desired.
- Ability to function independently, attention to detail, work under pressure, and complete tasks on time.
- Advanced data analysis skills.
- Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Effective, persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare finance, particularly Medicaid reimbursement and compliance.
- Knowledge of billing.
