Fiscal and Administrative Assistant
About the role
The Fiscal and Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive fiscal and administrative support to the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences (CALS) Office of Finance. This position plays a key role in supporting the Assistant Dean of Finance and the broader finance team by processing financial transactions, reconciliations, reporting, supporting compliance activities, coordinating fixed asset tracking and network infrastructure services coordination, while also managing administrative functions such as calendar coordination, meeting logistics, and correspondence.
Responsibilities
- Process financial transactions and reconciliations
- Support compliance activities
- Coordinate fixed asset tracking
- Cover network infrastructure services coordination
- Manage administrative functions including calendar coordination, meeting logistics, and correspondence
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines
- Good written, verbal, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Experience in higher education finance and/or budgeting (preferred)
- Experience working with multiple funding sources (state funding, foundation funding, grant funding) (preferred)
Skills
Exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality, and deliver high-quality customer service while interacting with faculty, staff, leadership and external partners. Demonstrate a proven ability to independently prioritize tasks, solve problems, and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Pay
$45,000 - $55,000
Schedule
40 hours a week; Monday through Friday
