Responsibilities

• Package product in a safe and efficient manner.
• Palletize product.
• Set up tape machines.
• Keep cartons available for packers.
• Keep product buckets empty, using GMP’s to avoid contamination.
• Ensure bags are properly sealed and coded.
• Ensure compliance to quality, food safety, and HACCP support programs; assure conformity to all company, customer, and government standards in work area.
• Follow GSO’s and other policies designed to improve safety.
• Ensure compliance to process and preventive controls as laid out in Food Safety Plan.
• Sweep at end of shift.
• Check case count and weigh waste.
• Assist with Master Cleaning Schedule.
• Assist with other assignments as directed.
• Empty trash cart as time permits.

Qualifications

• Ability to pack product.
• Ability to palletize product.
• Ability to set up tape machines.
• Adherence to GMP’s to avoid contamination.
• Ensure proper sealing and coding of bags.

Working Conditions/Environment

• Works in a manufacturing environment where employee may be required to speak, read, stand, walk, reach, lift, and bend while performing job duties.
• Must be able to stand for a standard 8-10 hour shift, with regular breaks performing repetitive work.
• Overtime and/or weekend work may be required.
• Earplugs, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), shirt apparel with no buttons or pockets are required in plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
