Responsibilities
- Set or remove poles
- Install conductors
- Pull, splice, and terminate cable
- Install or remove transformers and switches
- Operate switching devices
- Locate and repair cable and equipment faults
- Install, inspect, clean, and maintain underground manholes, conduits, and pad-mounted equipment
- Assignments may include locating RPU’s underground electric utility lines and equipment
Requirements
Individuals must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license required. Must pass a background check and drug test.
Qualifications
Experience in electrical work is preferred but not required. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Skills
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Must be able to operate heavy machinery and equipment safely.
