About the role

The First Assistant Manager at United Dairy Farmers is a Guest Services specialist responsible for delivering outstanding service to every Guest. They manage other associates, perform store administration tasks, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of their shift.

Responsibilities

• Managing other Associates: Assigning/monitoring performance, coaching The Hi Five Guest Experience, and training Shift Leaders and Guest Services Associates.
• Provides input to Store Manager for counseling/discipline of associates.
• Performing screening interviews with applicants.
• Store Administration: Ordering, reviewing weekly delivery reports, transferring products, completing paperwork as directed.
• Overall Guest Services: Providing the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience, greeting Guests, preparing DipSide items, operating POS system and gas console, stocking merchandise, maintaining security, and reporting.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, hear, and understand English well enough to communicate with customers.
• Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment and use price book.
• Ability to understand operating instructions and operate store equipment.
• Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies in the dip cabinets.
• Handling coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons, and food stamps, recognizing denominations, and accurately making change.
• Recognizing numbers, counting, and doing arithmetic to complete required records.
• Preparing merchandise from storage to shelves/displays/freezers/milk box and placing for proper display.
• Tolerating exposure to extreme temperatures and lifting heavy objects.

Qualifications

• Legal qualification to conduct sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales.

Skills

Pay

$16.00/hour - $18.50/hour plus quarterly bonus eligibility.

Schedule

Full Time (40 hours per week); four 2 shifts and one 1 shift; 2 weekends/month.
