About the role

The First Assistant Manager at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring the smooth operation of the store. They manage other associates, perform store administration tasks, and maintain security and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Assign and monitor the performance of associates, coach The Hi Five Guest Experience, and train Shift Leaders and Guest Services Associates.
• Provide input to the Store Manager for counseling and disciplining associates.
• Screen and interview applicants.
• Manage store administration tasks such as ordering, reviewing weekly delivery reports, transferring products, and completing paperwork.
• Ensure the delivery of the UDF Hi Five Guest Experience, greeting guests warmly, preparing and serving dips, managing POS and gas consoles, stocking merchandise, maintaining security, and performing maintenance tasks.
• Accurately complete time records and the Customer First Document.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, hear, and understand English well enough to communicate with guests.
• Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment and use price books.
• Ability to understand and operate store equipment.
• Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies in the dip cabinets.
• Ability to handle various forms of payment and make change.
• Ability to recognize and count numbers and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to move and lift merchandise and packages.
• Ability to tolerate cold and hot temperatures.
• Ability to raise and place heavy objects.
