About the role

The First Assistant Manager at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service and supporting the Store Manager in maintaining a safe and efficient store operation.

Responsibilities

• Managing other associates, including assigning and monitoring their duties, coaching The Hi Five Guest Experience, and training Shift Leaders and Guest Services Associates.
• Providing input to the Store Manager for counseling and disciplining associates.
• Performing screening interviews with applicants.
• Assisting with store administration tasks such as ordering, reviewing weekly delivery reports, transferring products, and completing paperwork.
• Ensuring the delivery of the UDF Hi Five Guest Experience, greeting guests warmly, preparing and serving dips, managing POS and gas consoles, stocking merchandise, maintaining security, and performing maintenance tasks.
• Reporting accurately and completing required records.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Visual acuity to operate store equipment and read price books.
• Operational skills to use store equipment and prepare dips.
• Handling abilities to manage cash transactions and merchandise.
• Physical capabilities to lift and move merchandise, tolerate cold temperatures, and perform other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Legal qualification to conduct sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales is required.

Schedule

Full Time (40 hours per week); four 2 shifts and one 1 shift; 2 weekends/month
