About the role

  • Perform scheduled servicing, repair, and recharging of hand portable fire extinguishers, wheeled units, and kitchen suppression cylinders.
  • Perform hydrostatic testing and repair of fire hoses.
  • Assist on-road technicians with a variety of required work.
  • Perform deliveries and pickups at customer locations and suppliers as needed.
  • Pick orders to prepare for shipping.
  • Receive and put stock away in designated areas.
  • Maintain general cleanliness throughout the shop and work area.
  • Repair service equipment as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.

Qualifications

  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to adhere to and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Self-starter who can work with little to no supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.

Pay

Hiring hourly range: $16.44 - $22.59. The hourly rate will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
