Essential Job Functions
- Aids in developing new business opportunities through cold calls and leads.
- Utilizes CRM technology to document activity and track results.
- Maintains contact with prospects through sales calls and phone block.
- Builds new appointments through scheduled phone sessions to ensure activity and pipeline.
- Supports Company marketing programs/initiatives.
- Contact potential customers to initiate the sales process and win the business.
- Benchmark other Fire Sales Specialists to establish and replicate best practices.
- Installs new business within assigned geography.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
- Four-year college degree preferred and/or success in other sales/service positions at Thompson Safety.
- Familiarity with codes, products attributes, and procedures within the fire protection and life safety fields.
- General awareness of business, financials, sales, and safety principles.
- Strong ability to utilize technology to increase the prospecting experience.
- Strong ability to prospect, close, and build rapport with prospects.
- Professional certification may be required in some areas.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and talking on the phone.
- Attending virtual online meetings.
- Working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and travel when needed.
