About the role

Mullins Mechanical is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing and repairing fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematics to plan and install fire sprinkler systems, including cutting, threading, and assembling pipes, valves, and sprinkler heads.
• Diagnose and repair existing sprinkler systems, which may include replacing damaged parts or performing emergency repairs.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA requirements, use appropriate tools and equipment, and work safely in various environments.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Physical stamina for manual labor, such as lifting, climbing, and working in various conditions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license may be required.
• Completion of an apprenticeship is often required.
• Backflow prevention device certification is frequently preferred.
