Fire Protection Sprinkler Fitter

About the role

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire protection sprinkler systems in various buildings and structures. Works closely with other trades to ensure compliance with local building codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fire protection sprinkler systems
• Inspect and test sprinkler systems to ensure proper functioning
• Assist in the design and implementation of new sprinkler systems
• Work with other trades such as electricians and plumbers to ensure system integration
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to OSHA regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 2 years of related experience in fire protection or plumbing
• Knowledge of local building codes and safety standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Experience with fire protection systems and components
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment

Skills

• Proficient in using hand and power tools
• Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
