Fire Protection Shop (1st Shift)
Duties
- Material handling
- Machine operation
- Threading piping for fire protection systems
- Providing overall support by banding and bundling pipe
- Working with a crane and cart system to move pipe throughout the shop
- Shop sweeping
- Equipment cleanup
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Meet the required norms on an aptitude test
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
- Standing, bending, and crouching throughout an 8-hour shift
- Ability to work in a team environment

- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform duties safely and effectively in a fast-paced work environment
- Safety regulations must be followed at all times, including the use of hearing, hand, knee, and foot safety equipment

Pay
$18.66/hour, based on the current Local 669 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Schedule
This is a full-time first shift position, typically working four 10-hour days M-TH, 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as needed.
