Fire Alarm Technician Apprentice

About the role

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and complete a state-approved apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Install and test fire alarm systems
• Maintain and repair existing fire alarm systems
• Respond to emergency calls to ensure safety
• Document work performed and report findings to supervisors

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed state-approved apprenticeship program
• Valid driver’s license
• Physical ability to climb ladders and work at heights

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of fire alarm systems and installation techniques

Skills

• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
