Fire Alarm Service Technician
About the role
As a Fire Alarm Service Technician, you will play a key role in helping keep customers safe through the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial fire alarm systems. This position offers a variety of day-to-day work, hands-on problem solving, and long-term career advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial fire alarm systems
- Diagnose and document system deficiencies and needed repairs
- Perform routine maintenance and service work to ensure code compliance
- Educate customers on system functionality and recommended solutions
- Maintain accurate service documentation and inspection reports
- Deliver exceptional customer service while professionally representing Nelbud
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive company vehicles to job sites
- Experience with fire alarm troubleshooting, repair, and service preferred
- NICET Level II certification required
- NICET Level III certification preferred
- KY/OH Fire Alarm License is required or must be obtained
- Strong computer and communication skills
- Able to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Professional attitude with strong customer service skills
Qualifications
We are looking for individuals who have a valid driver's license, experience with fire alarm troubleshooting, repair, and service, and a NICET Level II certification. A NICET Level III certification is preferred but not required. A KY/OH Fire Alarm License is required or must be obtained. Strong computer and communication skills are also essential.
