Responsibilities
- Respond to scheduled and emergency service requests.
- Perform in-depth trouble shooting, repair and/or replacement of system equipment.
- Program fire alarm systems or have experience with programming low voltage systems including fire alarm, access control, security or CCTV.
- Frequently resolve problems through research of multiple alternatives.
- Communicate and interact effectively with other contractors and building owners.
- Participate in weekly on call rotation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
- Aid customers on site with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Effectively communicate project status to management.
- Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with the following manufacturers: Edwards/EST, Kidde, Notifier, FireLite, Bosch, Silent Knight, DSC, Telguard, and Gamewell/FCI is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Fire Alarm/Low Voltage industry.
- EST3 and EST4 experience a plus.
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Able to perform physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools as required and lifting to 75lbs.
