About the role
Convergint is seeking a full-time Fire Alarm Service Technician to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing and programming fire alarm systems while contributing to a positive, culture-driven workplace.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the testing, programming, and commissioning of fire alarm and life safety systems.
- Service and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems according to local and national codes and company policies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and manuals.
- Communicate effectively with other team members to improve overall operations.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Adhere to company policies and maintain a professional image.
Requirements
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong technical skills and experience with fire alarm systems.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Ability to travel to jobsites regularly, with minimal overnight travel.
Qualifications
- High School/GED or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a fire alarm service technician, preferably with programming experience in EST 3 or EST 4 systems.
- Texas FAL certification required.
- NICET II certification preferred.
- Associates degree in Electronic technology or similar field.
Skills
- Customer service orientation.
- Technical proficiency with fire alarm systems.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on experience in commercial/industrial/low voltage/electrical environments.

Pay
