Responsibilities
- Inspect all fire alarm systems and perform necessary tests.
- Respond to scheduled and emergency service requests.
- Perform in-depth trouble-shooting, repairs, and replacements of system equipment.
- Program fire alarm systems or handle low voltage systems including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, or CCTV.
- Frequently resolve problems through research of multiple alternatives.
- Communicate and interact effectively with other contractors and building owners.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
- Absorb and apply industry-related equipment, including MS Office.
- Communicate professionally with customers, using tact and diplomacy.
- Effectively communicate project status to management.
- Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Fire Alarm/Low Voltage industry.
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet.
- Able to carry and move equipment and tools, and lift up to 75 lbs.
