Fire Alarm Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect all fire alarm systems and perform necessary tests.
• Respond to scheduled and emergency service requests.
• Perform in-depth trouble-shooting, repairs, and replacements of system equipment.
• Program fire alarm systems or handle low voltage systems including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, or CCTV.
• Frequently resolve problems through research of multiple alternatives.
• Communicate and interact effectively with other contractors and building owners.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
• Absorb and apply industry-related equipment, including MS Office.
• Communicate professionally with customers, using tact and diplomacy.
• Effectively communicate project status to management.
• Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Fire Alarm/Low Voltage industry.
• Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet.
• Able to carry and move equipment and tools, and lift up to 75 lbs.
