Fire Alarm and Security Service Technician

About the role

Firetrol Protection Systems is a full-service fire protection, life safety, and security company that designs, installs, repairs, services, and inspects a wide variety of fire suppression, life protection, and integrated security systems. As a Fire Alarm and Security Service Technician, you will maintain and service fire alarm systems for both new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and repair of fire alarm and security systems
• Have knowledge of multiple manufacturers for fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and security systems
• Maintain accurate records of service and maintenance reports
• Communicate effectively with customers and staff regarding project status and scheduling
• Follow company safety procedures and protocols
• Keep up-to-date on the latest fire alarm system technologies and products

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Texas State Fire Marshal licensing (FAL) or equivalent
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in fire alarm and security service and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm and security systems and their components
• Familiarity with local and national fire codes and regulations
• Ability to perform physical labor and work at heights in a safe and efficient manner
