Financial Services Specialist Community (Jr. Personal Banker)
About the role
The Financial Services Specialist supports sales and service delivery in the branch, building and expanding banking relationships through proactive customer outreach and customer service requests. This position is responsible for the fulfillment of deposit accounts, payment solutions, digital access products, and lending, as well as identifying and referring sales opportunities to the appropriate bank partner. Adapts to the needs of the branch, providing customer service in both transaction processing and sales roles.

Responsibilities
- Sales: Achieves individual and/or team financial, production, and relationship results relative to assigned metrics and goals. Results should align with community needs and support the organizational commitment to diverse lending.
- Engages with customers, prospects, and referral sources through proactive outreach
- Represents the Bank in the community by attending and participating in civic and community events to generate business and identify potential CRA opportunities
- Engages in sales practices that create value for both the customer and the bank, providing relevant financial guidance to drive informed decisions
- Service Standards: Fosters collaborative partnerships that deliver value for customers, prospects, and colleagues.
- Initiates conversations to uncover sales or referral opportunities
- Listens attentively and asks insightful questions to understand customer needs and preferences, addressing immediate needs promptly
- Proactively seeks coaching, supports Bank initiatives, and leverages tools to enhance performance
- Operations and Administration: Complies with all regulations, bank policies, procedures, and delegated authorities to manage risk related to credit, operational, reputational, regulatory, and legal aspects of personal interactions, customer transactions, and financial exposures.
- Completes required training by established deadlines
- Performs general office management duties to ensure operational efficiency
- Accountable for transaction accuracy and operational efficiency in roles involving deposits
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in Sales or customer service or 6 months of experience in a customer support role at First Citizens Bank or participation in a First Citizens career development program
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Preferred Area of Experience: Telephone sales
- Must possess a valid driver’s license; position may require driving to other offices or bank customers (bank car not provided)

Pay
The base pay for this position is generally between $22.00 and $27.00 per hour. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
