Financial Services - Customer Tax Operations and Reporting - Senior Manager
About the role
EY's Business Tax Advisory practice offers opportunities to focus on U.S. Tax Information reporting & withholding. You will work in a group environment on challenging information reporting and withholding engagements across all financial services sectors.
Responsibilities
- Interpret IRS Code and Regulations
- Draft guidance
- Data analysis and requirements development
- Manage a team with their duties
- Prepare documentation including presentations and flow charts
- Technical analysis, process improvement, and responding to RFP notices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance or Economics; advanced degree in Tax, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Law is highly desirable
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant tax consulting or tax operational experience
- Licensed attorney or CPA
- Experience managing and directing the work of others
- Active participation in industry groups such as SIFMA, ABA, IIB
- Chapter 3, Chapter 4 and Chapter 61 experience

- Ability to read and interpret IRS Code, regulations and instructions
- Expertise in tax reporting/tax operations and corporate tax work experience
- Securities processing and operations knowledge
- Strong writing skills for policy and procedure writing
- Project management capability

Pay
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $150,400 to $343,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $180,500 to $390,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. You'll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
