About the role

EY's Business Tax Advisory practice offers opportunities to focus on U.S. Tax Information reporting & withholding. You will work in a group environment on challenging information reporting and withholding engagements across all financial services sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret IRS Code and Regulations
  • Draft guidance
  • Data analysis and requirements development
  • Manage a team with their duties
  • Prepare documentation including presentations and flow charts
  • Technical analysis, process improvement, and responding to RFP notices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; advanced degree in Tax, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Law is highly desirable
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant tax consulting or tax operational experience
  • Licensed attorney or CPA
  • Experience managing and directing the work of others
  • Active participation in industry groups such as SIFMA, ABA, IIB
  • Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and Chapter 61 experience

Skills and Attributes

  • Ability to read and interpret IRS Code, regulations, and instructions
  • Expertise in tax reporting/tax operations and corporate tax work experience
  • Securities processing and operations knowledge
  • Strong writing skills for policy and procedure writing

Pay

The base salary range for this role in the US is $150,400 to $343,600. For New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the range is $180,500 to $390,500.

Schedule

Our expectation is for most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year. We offer a flexible vacation policy where you decide how much vacation time you need based on your personal circumstances.
