About the role

The Financial Reporting Analyst position within U.S. Bank Global Fund Services supports the Fund Administration team. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with SEC, GAAP, and regulatory reporting requirements, coordinating with external auditors, maintaining internal controls, monitoring accounting standard changes, and providing training and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements (e.g., statement of assets and liabilities, schedule of investments, statement of operations, statement of changes in net assets, statement of cash flows, accompanying financial footnotes and tailored shareholder reports)
  • Ensure compliance with SEC, GAAP, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Cook with external auditors and manage audit processes
  • Maintain internal controls over financial reporting
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on reporting processes
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis for senior management and stakeholders
  • Provide training and technical guidance to new staff regarding changes in regulations and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • One to two years of related work experience
  • Minimum of college level degree in accounting or finance and CPA certified or candidate preferred
  • Experience in Fund Administration, investment company financial reporting or related field, i.e., public accounting, preferred
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Regulation S-X and investment company financial reporting best practices
  • Good organizational skills ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and financial reporting systems (e.g., Unity Financials, Bloomberg, Eagle STAR)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of college level degree in accounting or finance and CPA certified or candidate preferred
