About the role

The Financial Reporting & Accounting Analyst will develop accounting policies, ensure quality financial reporting according to US GAAP, and prepare audited consolidated financial statements for the group.

Responsibilities

  • Complete consolidated financial statements and accompanying notes for the group of companies for year-end, period-end, and on an ad hoc basis.
  • Prepare monthly covenant reports and weekly flash reports.
  • Lead the accounting for specific areas, including:
    • Lease accounting and visual lease maintenance
    • The recording of asset retirement obligations
    • Equity accounting for captive insurance company
    • Other accounting topics as assigned by the controller
  • Create and update accounting policies (e.g., capital expenditure, leases, revenue recognition).
  • Create technical accounting memos to document technical accounting decisions (e.g., lease extensions) and audit support (e.g., Going Concern memo).
  • Support coordination of the audit and provide audit support as needed.
  • Conduct ad hoc technical research to support the evaluation of new business opportunities.
  • Review journals and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with other ad hoc tasks and special projects as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field (required).
  • 3–5 years’ experience in accounting, public accounting, or financial reporting (required).
  • Proficiency in lease accounting (required).
  • Strong US GAAP knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Analytical skills.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Master's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
  • Intermediate computer skills, preferably with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
